Fancy spending an evening with Roger Cook? No, you won’t have to spend it knocking on the doors of underworld characters asking “Why won’t you answer our questions, Mr Cotterill?” – the Electric cinema are hosting a talk and Q+A with the legendary investigative journalist on Wednesday 17th October. Expect to hear tales of institutional incompetence, bad law, injustices, naked criminality and being knocked unconscious on the job – I’m not sure he’ll mention how my mate Craig bought the show’s old van and left the windows blacked out for scarring the shit out of people at traffic lights. The event is co-hosted by The Royal Television Society, so it’s free to their members or £4 otherwise.
