Lord Mayor Randal Brew XI said: “We hope this will be a positive way of giving comfort to the bereaved while helping to generate funds for the Lord Mayor’s Charity Appeal.” Something just doesn’t sit right – you can’t have a remembrance tree, and have it surrounded by large adverts, can you?
