Rescuing Geography, in Digbeth

Really interesting looking project that I've not had time yet to delve deaper into, but I can't wait to tell you about. If you get the chance before me, please report back. "We're geographers and we're really interested in how being in a particular place affects the way people think about it. So we've been out gathering people's stories about Digbeth and Eastside in Birmingham. Sometimes we've just chatted to people in cafes, but we've also been asking people to give us guided tours of the area, recording what they say and – using sat nav technology – where they say it. STOP PRESS: The rescue geography exhibition about Digbeth launches on 24 October 2008 at MADE in Fazeley Street. It then runs 12 noon – 2 pm 27 to 31 October."
