The Birmingham Post – weekly or slimmed down daily " nothing has been decided.". The notice period of consultations on redundancy have started – around 60 jobs are rumoured to be being lost across local titles.

Steve Dyson (Mail Editor)'s blog post on the Post & Mail re-invention has so far collected 63 comments, which to his credit he's responding to. It's a very interesting debate, although a unusual place to have it, as many of the commentors are staff. Proof that you can't hide anything these days, and a very useful read if you're interested in what goes on behind the scenes at your local papers.
