New show at the Blue Orange Theatre

Come and ride the merry-go-round of love at the Blue Orange Theatre in
Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, as ten writers tackle the thorny issue
of intimate relationships.
Ten spellbinding short plays explore Love! Sex! Confusion! and ask if
any of us really know what we’re doing when it comes to relationships?
  BBC Doctors writer Liz John contemplates wifely duties in an 18th
century vicarage, while Birmingham Rep writer Robert Warrington
wonders if his character can stop talking long enough to get a date!
This gripping compilation of new writing is directed by Graeme
Braidwood (Arcadia, Festen, The Homecoming), featuring local actors
and has a three-day run on April 27-29 April at new independent
theatre, the Blue Orange.   Recommended age 15+ as it contains adult

Editor’s Note:
Founded in 1995, Big Script writers have written for television,
theatre (Birmingham Rep, Pentabus and many other companies), BBC Radio
4 and a host of short films.  They meet fortnightly in Moseley to read
and feed back on each other’s scripts and help develop new work.
Graeme Braidwood has enjoyed an extensive career as an actor, stage
manager and latterly as a director, bringing his specific and unique
take on a variety of classic work and new writing.
The Blue Orange Theatre is a new independent theatre which opened its
