I love my postcode, it means post can get to me more quickly, and I love other people’s postcodes because it stops be having to turn pages of my AtoZ when driving as the dashboard monster tells me where to go. Do you love your postcode? Would you wear a shirt like these available from a company called I Love My Postcode?
You can win a T-shirt featuring your favourite postcode by entering our little competition:
Define your favourite postcode in a sentence, in the comments here or by Tweeting us (@BirminghamINS) and the best one recived by noon on Friday (8th Oct) will win a shirt supplied by the lovely postcodeshirt people.
THE WINNER: Russ for the B65 definition
The compo is now closed, although we’d still like to see your definitions…
B61: Too far from Brum for evening public transport.
B1 – where the streets were paved by Gold
B65 – presumably the ‘B’ stands for ‘Blackheath’.
sadly, where i live wearing one’s postcode on a t-shirt would be an invitation to get knifed by residents living in a neighbouring postcode area…
WS13 – Lichfield’s about as Non-Walsall as it gets, yet I’ve always found it rather funny that we’re related by those two letters.
From Twitter:
clarelovell: “Yoga classes for toddlers? Only in B13…” #birminghampostcodes @birminghamINS
clarelovell: B26: “YOU’LL HAVE TO SHOUT, WE’RE RIGHT UNDER THE FLIGHT PATH!” #birminghampostcodes @BirminghamINS
DavidACGregory: @BirminghamiNS B3 Where two parking zones collide.
clarelovell: @BirminghamINS B30: We’ve got Oompa Loompas.
Wahey! You’re all too kind.
Do I need to do anything, prizeclaimin’-wise?
