You are invited to join us for a unique CBSO String Quartet
performance taking place within the engine house of
recorded in Ladywood by composer Duncan Chapman The Leo String Quartet performs Shostakovich: String Quartet No.8 (The performance will last for approximately 1 hour of this time) Found in Ladywood is a unique musical event that is the culmination of
a six month project in Ladywood. Composer Duncan Chapman walked
routes with community members around Ladywood to record live sounds
and created an original composition, inspired by artist Simon
Whitehead’s 2007 ‘Lost in Ladywood’ project with MADE. The project
has also involved community members working with the CBSO musicians
and a project team to create an innovative event in an unusual venue. This is a free event with limited capacity, please RSVP to:
