BE Festival will take place from 30 June – 3 July 2010 at the
atmospheric AE Harris building, in Birmingham’s
Jewellery Quarter. The festival features 15 dance and theatre pieces
by some of the most exciting new companies
from across Europe.
Performances begin at 7pm, with each one lasting around 30 minutes.
Tickets for the whole evening cost £10, and can be booked at
www.theticketsellers.co.uk.

Thursday 1st June

Chiscón Teatro (Spain) – Set Menu
Theatre Ad Infinitum (UK) – Translunar Paradise

Friday 2nd July
Pre-show discussion (5:30pm): Crossing borders in performance
Compañía Nenacaracol (Spain) – Contratiempos
Limping Father Francisco (UK) – Herencia Espanola
Angélico Musgo (Spain) – Melogamo Minimo
Mala Hierba (Belgium) – Un gouffre sous l’epaule

Saturday 3rd July
Hannah Statki (Germany/Italy) – Pasada Par Agua
Out of Balanz (Denmark) – Posthumous Works
Openbatch Theatre (UK) – Floor Plan
Extra dinnertime performance: Kindle Theatre (UK) – Eat Your Heart Out

In addition to the main programme, there will be live music
performances, including from Swedish cabaret duo
Scandimaniacs, and local flamenco/folk band the TG Collective.

On Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoons, the previous night’s
performances will be discussed at the BE Festival
Feedback Café, open to artists and audience members.

On Friday 2 July at 5:30pm, there will be a chaired discussion
Crossing Borders in Performance – with an invited panel of arts
professionals and academics.
