The COWShop, or Creative Open Workshops have been slowly spreading their fresian patterned craft around Brum for some time… based in the Custard Factory, they also run the craft ‘handmade makets’. This Sat I finally went down and popped on a frilly apron to have a go. We were doing print, lino cuts, stamp making, even a type of screen printing with stencils. My inability to draw stopped my stuff being of any artistic merit (I make a long cat lino cut you can see here).
But with the help of the guys there it is possible to make nice stuff while you’re learning:
