Erm, actually the Tories have promised referenda which makes Sion's decision to resign for a job that may never exist all the more ridiculous. Anyway, Jon, I thought you were his competition.

I thought Birmingham had already voted on whether we wanted an elected Mayor and had rejected the idea. Do we have to keep on voting until we say “yes”?
