Tories plan for elected mayors

So, IF the Tories win the next election AND IF the peope of Brum vote in a referendum to have an elected mayor (which they've not shown any great interest in so far) THEN Brmingham will have an election for a mayor.

I have long said that if that happens I'll stand – so I'm declaring now – vote Bounds for Mayor. [link]

Well, yes. I’m currently ahead in the polls.

I expect your running mate to be a panto horse. Nothing less.

I’d vote for a moritorium on Mayoral elections. Birmingham said “no” to an elected mayor before. Do we have to keep voting until we say “yes”? However, definitely think the slogan “BiNS” is far superior to the slightly pretentious (and copied) “Europe’s meeting place” so I’d probably vote for you as well.
