Hi Juliet – King’s Heath is lovely (it’s where I live) – there are getting to be more and more independent shops and cafes, and there are certainly lots of parks nearby.

Hi – we’re moving to Birmingham and I need to know where to live! We need to be on the South side as my husband’s job is in Redditch and I’ll be looking for work in Birm. What’s Kings Heath like? We’ve two little children so I need access to parks etc, also would like a bit of a community spirit / buzz. Solihull looks a bit posh. Any views?

Perhaps the Heath was meant for Kings (plural) and a place where you might meet Kings? I have certainly met some Queens in Highbury Park…

Sadly I can’t seem to ever comment on Blogger posts, so my post here will have to do… :) I’d say it should be without; http://www.kingsnorton.info/articles/the_name.htm goes into far more detail than I ever could. The defined names for the wards are both Kings Norton and [Moseley and] Kings Heath.
