How about they just demolish Birmingham and start again? Really, it is shit. No, really, it is. I've just returned from a blissful holiday in Devon and am reminded how noisy, polluted, over populated an ugly Birmingham really is. What a dump. And the majority of the people are ignorant, rude and selfish - evidence of which I see on the roads every single day.

God I can't wait to leave.

Is there any way of forwarding the banal Guardian 'cafe culture' article to the developers? Or at least forwarding the responses? How many air conditioned office workers need over priced sandwich bars anyway? Has anyone from Birmingham ever eaten anywhere in the upstairs part of the Arcadian Centre?

  1. Birmingham: It's Not Shit loves Birmingham, its people, arts, animals, buildings, parks, grass verges, factories and bus stops. We've even got a soft spot for the Black Country.

B:iNS runs The Brummie of the Year Award, Talk Like a Brummie Day and organises odd stuff like spending all day on the eleven bus.

BiNS is mostly by Jon Bounds, a Birmingham based social web consultant, producer and writer. You can hire him to work on your stuff, or follow him on twitter. There's also stuff from Danny Smith and Karen Strunks.
