The large 'Big Top' Post Office that stood near the entrance to WH Smiths, which closed due to a forthcoming redevelopment; and the one on Bearwood High Street which closed when Morrisons took over Safeways and closed it down. Neither was on the original closure list. Can I add two more that have closed recently(ish – well, the last couple of years or so), but have not been replaced. At Exeter's main post office there are always queues (not surprising as they have already closed several inner-city post offices) and employ a lady to manage the queue. She also hands out sales literature, supporting what your mother says, when in fact she <i>could</i> be working one of the many unmanned counters! Here is Somerset they’re not only closing post offices but letter boxes as well!
