Of train stations and churches

Couple of music things, totally unrelated but both cool.

First up, Rich Batsford has organised the third ‘Music By Candlelight’ as part of the Moseley Festival on Tues 1st July. Featuring himself, a choir, a flautist and Aa’shiq Al Rasul (who I saw at Project X Presents and are really good). St Marys Church, St Mary’s Row, Moseley, Birmingham B13 8HW. Free Entry (donations welcome). More details here.

And, knowing as you may how we think Brum needs a little creative mythologising, I was pleased to stubble over a band named after a train station (who are not rubbish) so, go take a listen to New Street Adventure.

I quite like the New Street Adventure track at that link, but I think perhaps they’re named after the street not the station ;) (the street must have been there before the station unless the station used to be called something else?)
