Encyclopaedia salesman

The Encyclopaedia Britannica are offering a free service to “web publishers” (they hand check, so some posho from a Public School in their office must have had to have a look at this site) where they can use the online version for nothing. You can also get links to each page to share on your site so non-subscribers can see too – therefore I present the page on Brum (you’ll learn nothing new):Birmingham.

A lot more interesting was that Miguel de Cervantes died today in Madrid in 1616.

How do they fit a public school in their office?

Ah Encyclopaedia Britannica’s final death throes – just to prove they have lost the fight already they decide to emulate their competitor Wikipedia. Wikipedia wouldn’t make such a good <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fsvWVbBowXo&quot; rel="nofollow">Monty Python sketch</a> though!

BiNS is mostly by Jon Bounds a Birmingham based social web consultant, producer and writer., You can hire him to work on your social web campaigns or anything really—he's not fussy. Follow him on twitter or drop him an email.

There's also the odd bit of stuff from Danny Smith.

Feel free to send us anything you're interested in - or think we might be.
