Swear, cuss, and win an iPod, with a local call

Mark Steadman, of the New Media Junkie podcast has had a great idea – and has just gone out and “f–ing done it” (his phrase).

It’s Dial-a-rant – a free-by-skype (or normal call charge) answering machine. You phone up, vent your spleen, then go online to claim your bile. You’ve then got a direct link to your ourpouring. The clever bit is that he’s going to use the best bits on his podcast, which while a legal headache (err on the side of caution Mark!) should be brill.

He’s also launched a competiton where the best rant wins an iPod nano. 0121 288 9321.

  1. Birmingham: It's Not Shit loves Birmingham, its people, arts, animals, buildings, parks, grass verges, factories and bus stops. We've even got a soft spot for the Black Country.

B:iNS runs The Brummie of the Year Award, Talk Like a Brummie Day and organises odd stuff like spending all day on the eleven bus.

BiNS is mostly by Jon Bounds, a Birmingham based social web consultant, producer and writer. You can hire him to work on your stuff, or follow him on twitter. There's also stuff from Danny Smith and Karen Strunks.
