Buildings I know there’s no intellectual property rights attached to photos of them, with a statue there’s the artist’s copyright. I’d say that ‘public art’ was fair game.

While we’re on the topic of icons, have you come across any hoo-ha from the bull’s “owners” about use of likeness? I think it’s only a matter of time before the corporation decides that someone has overstepped the mark* and attempts to reclaim the representations for its own purposes.

*Someone will make a stuffed toy version that speaks when you pull a cord, or someone will adorn an image with a hot heap of manure.
