Scare the willies out of yourself, with 7inch

11 December 2007
By Jon Bounds

7inch cinema’s Christmas special is a double bill of ghostly tales – in the suitably framed Highbury Hall (once home to Joseph Chamberlain of course). It’s tomorrow:

For one night only Highbury will pay host to two spine-tingling gems from Christmasses Past:

A Warning to the Curious (dir: Lawrence Gordon Clark, 1972, 50 mins)
An amateur archaeologist (Peter Vaughan) digs up a crown and finds himself shadowed by a mysterious stranger…

Whistle and I’ll Come to You (dir: Jonathan Miller, 1968, 42 mins)
A bumbling academic (Michael Hordern) discovers a whistle carved from bone on the Norfolk sand-dunes. “A masterpiece of economical horror” – screenonline
