Search for the past

Have you seen the TV ad for ask.com where they show you what happens when you search for “Birmingham”? It’s very similar to this London one, but I can’t find a video anywhere on the web.

The fun bit for me was how one of the websites it popped up was (no, not us) but the old UCE one. Just a quick indication of how fast the interweb moves – even that of large organisations (they must have thought they were safe with a University website recentley and expensively overhauled).

I’m off to make a parody where the search is for, erm… I’m sure it will come to me.

  1. Birmingham: It's Not Shit loves Birmingham, its people, arts, animals, buildings, parks, grass verges, factories and bus stops. We've even got a soft spot for the Black Country.

B:iNS runs The Brummie of the Year Award, Talk Like a Brummie Day and organises odd stuff like spending all day on the eleven bus.

BiNS is mostly by Jon Bounds, a Birmingham based social web consultant, producer and writer. You can hire him to work on your stuff, or follow him on twitter. There's also stuff from Danny Smith and Karen Strunks.
