I think that this will be a wonderful addition to Birmingham's city centre. It is great to finally see money being spent in Birmingham and making it such a great city. With the V Building, Beetham Tower, The Cube, new Bham New Street Station & Towers and other large-scale developments (current & already completed), a new city skyline will be created and loved by all.

People who don't want developments because they think they are an 'eye-sore' or not inkeeping with the city are being short-sighted. Birmingham is England's "Second City" and is now beginning to live up to that title, beating 'competing' cities such as Manchester, Liverpool and Cardiff hands down.

I personally am very very excited to see how Birmingham changes over the next 5-10 years. There is going to be big change, and superb transformations & additions. Here's to a bright future for Birmingham: a city competing on a national, european & international scale!!!!

The quiet candle lit dinner, an intimate lunch perhaps, quality time with a loved one...punctuated by the screams of bungee jumping egits, maybe the occasional thud & broken glass shower as a jump goes (hilariously) horribly wrong, that & the gasworks...how can it fail.

Surely the screams and whooping from terrified participants will generate a stream of noise abatement orders from residents, once the nearby luxury canalside apartments are built?
When will the developers learn - you cannot mix residential and leisure in this City!
Why not build an Asda with a rooftop terrace cafe instead? You may not see Telford but you'd get a good view of the Blues ground and the gasworks.
