Pete the Feet Merchandise

Moseley’s shoeless wonder Pete the Feet has a nifty line in branded merchandise – lighters embossed with what must be his logo, a couple of footprints. Almost worth taking up smoking for.

  • Pete's a top bloke, I serve him his ales every Sunday in his own Pete the Feet glass. Anyone else notice his Bank of Moseley £20 notes appeared as fake money in the T.V. series 'Shameless' last week?

Pete is a verry old friend of mine I remember when he arrived in Moseley he was a telephone operator think i would like to see him again and work on a design with him for a harmonica holster,I play regular and it would be a worthy tool!!

Didn't know Pete was anything to do with those lighters but if you're talking about Pete the feet, the pianist or more like a musician, then come to the bag o' nails in Lenton, Nottingham. He's there pretty much most nights and yes he lives in Digby Court just round the corner from the bag. I'm a close friend of his although he's even older than my dad. And yes, he plays at 'hand in heart' on Derby road every sunday afternoon about 1 or 2 ish.

He plays in The Hand In Heart in Nottingham (he said he lives in Lenton) had a chat with him there last night. He wasn't dead.
  • >web based reports that he’s dead?

No seen those, but I did see Pete in the Prince the other day looking well as ever.
  • Jenny aka Mrs Pete the Feet
No, that's not quite correct. If you want to see Pete in Alcester then go there on a Sunday afternoon. Other nights he can be found in the Prince of Wales, Moseley: best time to catch him is between 7-9.

He gives away lighter covers to advertise his wares. He'll make any smallish bespoke leather goods you want, but be fair with the price you're prepared to pay because he'll never rip anybody off, he asks you to pay what you think it's worth. Some people think that several hours of work are only worth a pint, but this is not about bargain hunting so if you want cheap, go to the market. Pete's philosophy is to make people happy and so he always gives more than he gets back... at least in the short term.

Anyway even if you don't want any of his goods, call in because he'd love to see you.

One more thing. Recent web based reports that he's dead are false! at least at time of writing - 3 June 2008.

Try Turks Head pub in Alcester any night. No shoes and great health .
  • I used to hang round Moseley years ago and have had countless lighters from Pete, all of which were half inched by friends and family! I would love to see Pete again. Does anyone know where he's drinking nowadays and at what times?

Pete's lighters are brilliant, he doesn't just do the feet ogo ones though, various other lighter cover designs have been crafted by the legendary Pete the Feet. All are pretty damn good. Shame the smoking ban means not as many people will get one...
