network news

the stagemanaged “fight” between Brum and Manchester reaches a crescendo on Inside Out tonight on BBC ONE.

What you won’t know – and might maybe care about – is that I’ll be on News 24 at around 12.30 tomorrow for a live interview all about it. Don’t go flippin’.

UPDATE> and if i can get into town (three hours to get home!) for 9.20 tomorrow morning i’ll be on Breakfast News (bbc one i think)

well that's all done - didn't get much room to use the couple of witicisms i'd thought up. i was going to mention the rain, Simply Red and the fact that everyone in Manchester works in Baldwins Casuals.

I was also going to mention that the Manchester representative Ian Simpson had poluted our skyline with the 'shower curtain' on Holloway Circus.

Breakfast News spelt my name right - News 24 (from where this clip comes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TChOJVCV3HM) didn't. Both felt unable to mention the actual _name_ of our fine site.

fun experience tho', i'd done bits of radio before but not TV. What price B:iNS TV?

  1. Birmingham: It's Not Shit loves Birmingham, its people, arts, animals, buildings, parks, grass verges, factories and bus stops. We've even got a soft spot for the Black Country.

B:iNS runs The Brummie of the Year Award, Talk Like a Brummie Day and organises odd stuff like spending all day on the eleven bus.

BiNS is mostly by Jon Bounds, a Birmingham based social web consultant, producer and writer. You can hire him to work on your stuff, or follow him on twitter. There's also stuff from Danny Smith and Karen Strunks.

Feel free to send us anything you're interested in - or think we might be.
If you've got gigs to promote, best to chuck them on the talk board.
